D. EXTERIOR is a brand of Cose di Maglia s.r.l.The company,founded in Brescia in 1986 by Nadia Zanola, has its origins backin the Fifties with the first family knitting workshop. Nadia Zanolais the president and the collection designer. The turnover for2009 is 20 million Euro. +6% Revenue growth compared to2008. The upward trend before the latest global financial events,is equal to +10 / 12%. The company produces exclusively Madein Italy. All production research, the prototypes and samples aremade inside the company. The production phase is carried outby external ,tested and checked laboratories, many of whomwork exclusively for this line. All  semifinished and finishedproducts tests are executed inside the company. About 300,000pieces produced per year. The summer collection is composedof 40% knitted garments, and 60% of jersey and fabric garments.The winter collection is composed of 60% knitted garments, and40% of jersey and fabric garments. 35% of production isdestinated to Italy, 65% of production is sent abroad. Othercountries where this collection is distributed: South Africa,Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Dubai, Singapore, Sweden, Poland, Latvia,Kuvait, Latvia, South Korea, Australia, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt,Greece, Finland, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan. The growth ofworldwide distribution is aligned to revenue growth. Distributionin Italy and abroad is entrusted to the group Zappieri. Foreigndistribution is handled by outside agencies with showrooms inParis, London, Dusseldorf, Madrid, New York, Copenhagen,Hong Kong and Shenzhen.

Nadia the owner describes her  "FACTORY OF FASHION" Walkingdown the corridors of the company where everything is so refinedand coordinated, helps you understand how each garment isconceived, designed, built, tested and approved. The engineeringdesign of prototypes (about 1000 per year) is located in the heart ofthe factory, where a large white room dominated by a ten meter highglass dome with large glass tables sees, all around, the samplesconstruction divided into "themes and colors”. Despite the almostmonastic discipline, you breath a serene atmosphere among allNadias  collaborators (who in truth she loves to define workmates)about forty people, all young and highly qualified, each concentratedin the quest for absolute quality. .. ... because , in fact, the company         D. EXTERIOR is nothing else than a large  quality control andcoordination central. Here models that will create the collection takeshape, while the industrial phase of production is carried out bysatellite specialized factories. After each stage, the prototypes returnto D. EXTERIOR to suffer checks and verifications that few wouldexpect in a clothing factory. The result of this great effort  isremarkable: a relentless growth of the company  for several years, ata rate of 20% per season exporting over 50% of its production inEurope and the U.S. (nearly one thousand shops  distribute D.EXTERIOR).
